At Atelier Focis, we believe every space has a story to tell, shaped by its purpose, surroundings and the people who experience it. We are an emerging architecture and interior design studio based in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, driven by fresh perspectives, thoughtful design and a passion for creating meaningful spaces.
Our approach is not defined by a particular style. We draw inspiration from context, culture, materials and craftsmanship, bringing together traditional influences and evolving design ideas to create spaces with their own distinct character. With a focus on functionality, aesthetics and attention to detail, we approach every project as an opportunity to explore ideas and create something unique. Through Design, Execution and Project Management, we work towards translating concepts into well-crafted spaces that are both purposeful and enduring.

Founder & Architect
With a B.Arch from CARE School of Architecture and an M.Arch through the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University, I believe in thoughtful planning, efficient use of space and a hands-on approach to architecture. Through Atelier Focis, I aim to bridge design and execution, creating spaces that are functional, purposeful and meaningful.

JUNIOR ARCHITECT
With a Bachelor’s degree from Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science & Technology, Thanjavur, he brings creativity and fresh perspectives to every project. His approach focuses on thoughtful design, attention to detail and transforming ideas into functional, meaningful spaces.
Venkatesh Pandian
Studio Partner - Architect
With a B.Arch from CARE School of Architecture and a Master’s in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of East London, Venkatesh brings experience across diverse architectural projects. His approach focuses on people-centric design, integrating nature and the built environment to create thoughtful, functional and context-responsive spaces.
